Today is Heijastinpäivä (reflector day). Time
to attach a reflector to your jacket or bag again.
The nights get longer again. The sun rises around
7:30 and sets around 19:00. Since we spend more time in the dark it is a good
idea to use a reflector from now on. This way cars can see you much better
during the dark morning and evening hours. 51 % of Finns already use one of
those small helpers that increased pedestrians’ visibility and safety considerably.
They can be real life savers - especially for kids.
You can get them at any supermarket for a few
Euros. Sometimes they are even given away for free.
